Kraatz Engineering, a subsidiary of the O&L Group, is a proudly Namibian enterprise with a rich engineering heritage dating back to 1947.

For over 60 years, Kraatz has provided services to leading national and international clients, and have established ourselves as a highly skilled, innovative, competitive and experienced engineering service provider. Based in the coastal town of Walvis Bay, we provide services to the oil and gas, mining and general industrial sectors in Namibia and on the western seaboard of Africa. Many years of experience and excellent craftsmanship in multi-skilled engineering and specialised services provide our national and international clients with the highest standards in quality, safety and reliability.

In addition, Kraatz has nurtured various relationships with local and international service providers that complement our service offerings.

Marine and Offshore

Kraatz provides a comprehensive range of engineering services to the oil and gas sector on the western seaboard of Africa. For offshore marine support vessel owners and operators we offer dry docking, conversions, modifications, travelling repairs, pipework, steelwork, mechanical work, propulsion repair and blasting-and coating. Offshore drilling companies make use of our repair, maintenance and fabrication services in Walvis Bay or on location. We regularly carry out projects under the following class societies: American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Bureau Veritas (BV) and Lloyds Register of shipping.

Industrial

Kraatz range of services covers structural, mechanical, piping and plate work (SMPP) for the mining, petro chemical, chemical and general industrial clients in Namibia and beyond – this is applicable for greenfield as well as brownfield projects. Other services comprise of machining, specialised welding, steel fabrication and installation, pip fabrication and installation, tank building and modifications.
