On Monday, 18 March 2019, Pick n Pay (PnP) Namibia – a subsidiary of the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group – officially opened doors of its latest addition to PnP stores in the North of Namibia. The PnP Olunkono Mall store in Ondangwa brings the total PnP Namibia store chain in the country to 22.
PnP Namibia Managing Director, Norbert Wurm: “Cognizant of the tough economic climate that has had an impact and continues to impact everyone, I am confident that the opening of this store, marks a beacon of hope in the development of our beautiful country and particularly the Northern Region. We continuously challenge the past to improve the future. Even when faced with challenging situations or a tough economy we need to always look for new opportunities in pursuit of the O&L purpose of ‘Creating a future, enhancing life’. With that comes continued investment in people and in our business in general. Therefore it is with great enthusiasm and determination that we open this latest addition to the PnP family.”
With the opening of this store, PnP Namibia welcomes 74 new employees to its workforce. For Windhoek shoppers, PnP Namibia recently also officially launched its online store which has, according to Moller seen tremendous growth in clientele and usage by local shoppers.
