20 November 2019 will mark a significant milestone for Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) Manager: Digital Marketing, LucyMay Lubrani-Slabber when she will step on stage as a speaker at one of the world’s largest tech conferences, ‘Dreamforce’.

Hosted by Salesforce, this conference annually brings together more than 170 000 professionals worldwide at the Moscone Centre in San Francisco, California, USA. The 4-day conference hosts approximately 2 700 sessions and workshops featuring elite speakers from global organizations in multiple industries. Lubrani-Slabber: “I was invited to share the NBL case study of Digital Transformation: how it started taking shape; how the journey will future-proof the business, and how NBL is pioneering the future of Digital Transformation at scale in Namibia.”

For every Dreamforce edition – the elite of international speakers is selected on the basis of distinction – exhibiting the traits of the ‘Trailblazer’. The Trailblazer concept was coined by Salesforce to define: (1) a pioneer; an innovator; a lifelong learner; a mover and shaker; (2) a leader who leaves a path for others to follow; (3) and a person who builds a better world for others. Lubrani-Slabber: “There is a straight correlation between the Trailblazer and the NBL/O&L Group Breakthrough Culture, with its principles rooted in a purpose-driven mindset. A phenomenal and rewarding concept.”

Dreamforce takes place from 19 to 22 November, and Lubrani-Slabber is scheduled to speak on the morning of 20 November. Lubrani-Slabber: “The conference will feature keynotes from visionaries like former President Barack Obama and Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook. Lubrani-Slabber: “It is an absolute honor to have been nominated to contribute to such a prestigious international event. This session will expose the Namibia Breweries brand and technical expertise to a whole new audience. Regardless of segment or industry, a presentation on the Dreamforce stage puts the organization in front of a prominent community of professionals, as well as more than 3 million viewers online. It is a beautiful responsibility to be able to represent Namibia at this occasion, and introduce the country in the league of innovative thinkers.”

NBL Managing Director, Marco Wenk: “This opportunity for LucyMay speaks directly to the O&L Group vision of being a catalyst for positive change, delivery new realities and fulfilling dreams. We are extremely excited for LucyMay, and look forward to seeing her grow even stronger professionally and personally. We are excited for the journey ahead, not only in her contribution to the NBL, and O&L digital experience and future, but also to that of the country at large.”

At NBL, LucyMay leads an involved process of strategic integration: from Digital Innovation, transformation, acceleration, to data-driven marketing adoption and activation. “I am humbled, excited and absolutely inspired!
