Celebrating a remarkable year of success and dedication, the Hartlief Deli in Windhoek is hosting its first birthday celebration from 16 to 24 November 2024. The week-long festivities will feature amongst other, an exclusive live radio broadcast with a local radio station and an array of special culinary treats for both seasoned patrons and new visitors to experience.
Since opening at its new location at the Hilltop Village – situated at Ombika Street between the Grove Mall and Lady Pohamba Private Hospital – the Hartlief Deli has become a beloved culinary landmark in Windhoek, offering a distinctive blend of traditional and modern dining. This unique establishment showcases the complete Hartlief portfolio, featuring fresh meat and an array of high-quality processed meats. Alongside its main offerings, the Deli presents daily special meals, sit-down or takeaway options and an enticing selection of supporting products, including cakes, cheeses, sauces and specialty drinks.
“Reflecting on this first year, we are incredibly proud of how the Deli has evolved into more than just a retail space – it has become a place of discovery and enjoyment where we celebrate our heritage while embracing innovation,” says Marco Wenk, Managing Director at Hartlief. “Our passionate team has introduced bespoke engagement opportunities, making each visit a new experience for our customers.”
The upcoming birthday celebration will not only showcase Hartlief’s core products but will also feature a range of exclusive items that reflect the brand’s rich tradition and commitment to quality. These include deboned lamb shoulder Cordon Bleu, fresh Spätzle, Chorizo loaf, a full range of Wagyu cuts and a variety of customisable bacon options. This carefully curated menu honours the Hartlief Fleischermeister’s legacy, providing an immersive culinary experience that embodies the spirit of craftsmanship and authenticity.
Recognised as the Best Deli in Namibia in the 2024 Best of Namibia Awards competition, Hartlief’s vision for the Deli, which combines the best elements of a high-end delicatessen with an interactive sit-down experience, has been realised through this first year’s milestones. The Deli has consistently offered a taste journey that invites customers to explore new flavours and traditions, honouring the craftsmanship that has been the foundation of the Hartlief brand since 1946.
The highlight of the birthday festivities will be an exclusive live radio broadcast; creating an energetic atmosphere filled with customer interactions; meeting and live interviews with the Hartlief team and Fleischermeister, Roland Schulte; and special insights into the products and heritage.
Wenk concludes, “We welcome everyone to join us for this special celebration. The Hartlief Deli is an experience crafted with care, passion and respect for our heritage – a place where tradition meets innovation, offering Namibia a taste of quality that’s both familiar and refreshingly new.”
